14th September — A Day of Triumph

Holycross Day at HEC

As the institution named as Holycross Engineering College, Holy Cross Day is celebrated on the 14th of September as a symbol of triumph, as a sign of Christ's victory over death, and a reminder of His promise:

"And when I am lifted up, I will draw all men unto me."

— John 12:32

It is the day to honor Holy Cross. The cross is the sign of God's goodness and favors toward you. It is the symbol of salvation worked out for you. It is the symbol of your freedom from all sin, hell, death, and every evil.

It was to the cross that the Lamb of God was led without complaint and where He was slaughtered — the ultimate sacrifice that transformed a symbol of suffering into a sign of eternal hope and victory.
