Anti-Ragging Committee

The Anti-Ragging Committee is established to ensure compliance with statutory regulations and maintain a safe, respectful campus environment.

Grievance Redressal Committee

Goal

The grievance handling procedure contributes to a harmonious campus by providing a structured and effective complaint redressal mechanism. The committee ensures every student and staff member can be heard and receives fair resolution.

Scope

  • Handle student, staff, and faculty grievances through dedicated cells.
  • Redress issues affecting female students and women staff separately.
  • Resolve grievances promptly, confidentially, and fairly.
  • Ensure impartial investigation and documentation of every complaint.

Committee Structure

Department Grievance Committee: Head of Department Chairman; up to three nominated faculty members; handles academic and administrative grievances at department level.

Institute Level Grievance Committee: Senior faculty Chairman; up to five senior faculty members; handles institute-level grievances and appeals from department decisions.

Central Grievance Redressal Committee: Chairman, AEF Chairman; Principal; Convener of concerned faculty; Head of Department; senior professor. Handles final appeals and institute-level decisions.

Redressal Procedure

  • Submit grievances in writing to the HOD. The HOD verifies and addresses the issue.
  • If unresolved, escalate to the Department Grievance Committee.
  • If still unresolved, appeal to the Institute Level Grievance Committee within one week.
  • Further appeal may be made to the Central Grievance Redressal Committee within one week of the Institute committee order.

Complaint Lodging Procedure

Students may submit complaints in writing, online, or through the administrative department. The cell will act on documented grievances and ensure resolution within a stipulated time frame.

Responsibility

The Principal holds final responsibility for grievance redressal, ensuring all cases are resolved promptly and result oriented.

Exclusions

The committee does not handle matters related to university council decisions, disciplinary actions by the university, admission decisions, scholarship or fee concessions, or examination result disputes.

SC/ST Committee

The SC/ST Committee empowers students from socially, economically, and educationally disadvantaged communities with scholarships, support, and career guidance.

  • Inform students of scholarship opportunities and welfare programs.
  • Counsel students on academic, emotional, and career planning.
  • Provide a safe, secure, and supportive campus environment.

OBC Committee

The OBC Cell ensures proper implementation of UGC, Government of India and State Government scholarship and welfare schemes for OBC students.

Objectives

Women Grievance Cell / Vishaka Committee

The Women Grievance Cell is constituted in accordance with the Vishaka guidelines and supports women faculty, staff, and students by addressing complaints of harassment and ensuring a safe campus.

The committee investigates issues confidentially and takes appropriate action while respecting the privacy of all parties involved.
